The forum is back up! (UPDATE: x2)
#1
At around 3 PM UTC+1 today, we had a bug which resulted in the users appearing as another user and so on, and thus the forum had to be shut down in order to avoid the crazy.

However, the bug has been fixed and things should be back to normal! <!-- sBig Grin --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/NAC_Smiley_Pack_Default/biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" title="Grin" /><!-- sBig Grin --> Sorry about the inconveniences and any freak accidents.

Explanations on the issue to be posted later.

Ossu!

Soooo. Someone (our provider) did an update on the server that we use and upgraded something tiny that made the server think that we're all using the same IP address. That made the forum think that we were all the same person. So when more persons were logged in simultaneously, it randomly picked a user ID from the list of people that were logged on and gave that to whoever was viewing a page. Not good.
Someone (our provider) rolled back that update and things seem to be fine again.

And for anyone interested in the details: apache's mod_proxy was upgraded to a bugged version, that didn't forward the HTTP headers to mod_php correctly, thereby setting the $_REMOTE_ADDR php variable to be equal to $_HOST_ADDR. Hahahahah. Yeah. Funny, right?

Right.

So.

Gnight.

Unfortunately, it would seem the problem repeated again from approx. 9 AM UTC+1 to 3 PM UTC+1. It appears to be okay now, so the forum is online again.

I'm sorry this has happened! Hopefully our provider has sorted their issue out.
