New Forum Style and Upcoming Style Changes - Arynis - 11-17-2012
A new forum style has been added! Prostylize Darkblue is a dark blue Prosilver based theme, hopefully more fitting for the whole "Ark Cradle" theme! Check it out today!
The forum banners have been also added for Prosilver and Prostylize Darkblue!
Remember, you can always switch back to Prosilver or any other style using the Board Preferences tab in the User Control Panel!

Just a note, that I'm planning to uninstall the Cerulean style as it is the least used skin and it lacks the mod changes the other styles do (e.g., the latest post title).
However, some mods don't support the older skins, which make it hard to keep them all updated. Calculate the banner into this and we've got a lot of work to do. And so little time, Shadowfang doesn't have much free time unfortunately. He is also suggesting to get rid of the Black/Rainbow Pearl skins, too. His reasoning is that not too many people use those skins (~10-20 members), compared to Prosilver (~2000 members)
It would be much more of a time saver if we could have only prostylize and prosilver, as well as ensure compatibility with any mod we may plan to install.

Hey, whatever's easier on you guys as far as compatibility goes. Honestly, I haven't bothered to switch skins, and I rarely ever have on any site I've been on.

Just to note I haven't uninstalled any of the styles yet, I'm waiting for more replies to see if people are fine (or not) with the changes I'm planning to make. If nobody says anything, I'm going to assume there are no problems.

I've always used the Rainbow Pearl skin, it was so confortable with the size of the forum and all.
Although it lacked of the Threads name update...
I'll be sad if its gone, but at the same time my activity here isn't as it was before, also I've changed to the new style already and Im still trying to get used to it (just with the size of the forum that takes the whole screen, and that the avatars are in the right side of the post).

You guys did a great job with the new style. I just switched over tonight and not only does it look beautiful, but it also fixed a ton of errors I was having on the original skin such as quoted messages randomly disappearing and the site freezing on me. I forgot to check out the new forum styles. I really love the new look of Prostylize Darkblue. It fits the theme of Neo Ark Cradle and I love seeing everything in blue. The banner also goes really well with this new look too.

Oh, so Subsilver 2 is an old style too? - I was wondering why people kept on talking about the banner being back.... XD Well, what I like about the Subsilver 2 is, that the avas are on the left side and also, at least for me, the contrast is very nice but not too harsh for pleasant reading. I tried darker skins, but always came back to subsilver 2...

Yeah, subsilver is one of the default skins you get with phpBB, the other one being prosilver.
I guess the styles can stay and people can use them if they'd like to, I just wanted to make it clear it's difficult to maintain them all and they may not be updated compared to other styles.

For me the avatars are better in the left :3
