Because it just dawned upon me, so I'm making an announcement for it. Not the most important thing ever but hey, 1 year. And we're doing pretty great I feel. Some expectations were fulfilled, others weren't, but that's life, and besides, we'll get to them and grow even further.

Feel free to post celebratory comments, any birthday wishes in regards to the site, or just comment on the anniversary itself! I'm looking forward to seeing this place live and prosper, even if I wasn't around as of late to keep track of forum things.

There has been at least one incident so far which involved account sharing on purpose with another person. Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, share your account with anyone else. Ever. We WILL ban such accounts. We also reserve the right to ban any accounts which show a sudden unexplained change in behavior (e.g., posting style, etc.) AND change in IP addresses. Though, we will try to confirm your legitimacy before the ban (such as PMing you).

In regards to the above, keep your accounts safe, guys. Have a good password, don't give it out to anyone. Check your computers for viruses or keyloggers regularly. Neo Ark Cradle should be a safe place and should contain no suspicious links or viruses.

This is a reminder to everyone that if there's someone violating the rules, or a member that seems to be causing problems and making others uncomfortable, you have a variety of ways to bring it to the staff's attention.

1) Report Post Button. You can see a \!/ button on the prosilver skin or a (!) button on the Rainbow/Black Pearl skins. Click this button to report any post you may find problematic, and we'll review your reports and act on the issue accordingly. You may report Private Messages in the same manner. Keep in mind we cannot read PMs as per our Private Message policy, but reporting that specific Private Message will make it known to the staff.

2) Send a Private Message to our Staff Members. You can find a list of the staff here and explain your problems to us. We'll then discuss it with the staff accordingly and deal with it.

3) Message us in IRC. There's always at least 1 staff member in IRC at all times. See Kitten's guide on how to use IRC here.

Bottom line is: We'll try to look out for problems and nip them in the bud, but we can't do anything about problems we don't know about! In the end, we're people just like you and aren't mind readers. Talking about problems behind our backs won't solve anything either and will just leave both sides frustrated and hurt. We do want this community to be enjoyable for people, so we'll need your help too in order to succeed! Do not hesitate to speak up if there's anything wrong.

This is a subforum meant to bridge the gaps between the memberbase and the staff. We may work to keep the forum in check, some of us are more active than the others, but what about us, really? Now it's your turn to flip our face down cards on the table! However, the forum in question cannot be viewed by Guests.

Okay, the basic gist is that the primary System Admin we have, ShadowFang, is extremely busy, and we could use help from a secondary System Admin so we aren't months in between updates and in case the forum suffers from any serious errors. So, we need someone to step up on the matter. And we would like those who wish to apply for the position to fill out the following application:

1. Prior experience as a System/Site Administrator?
2. Reliability and Availability?
3. Methods of Contact?
4. Do you get along with people?
5. Do you work well as a team player?
6. Do you like and respect other people's privacy?
7. Are you good and familiar with Unix?
8. Are you good and familiar with Mysql?
9. Are you good and familiar with Php?
10. Are you good and familiar with PhpBB?
11. What Forum software are you familiar with?
12. Do you have any familiarity with publishing systems such as Word Press or general Wiki software?
13. Would you mind being tested?
14. Anything else?

Due to a recent attempt at someone impersonating another user from another community, the following rule has been added to our Registration Policy.

At around 3 PM UTC+1 today, we had a bug which resulted in the users appearing as another user and so on, and thus the forum had to be shut down in order to avoid the crazy.

However, the bug has been fixed and things should be back to normal! <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/NAC_Smiley_Pack_Default/biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Grin" /><!-- s --> Sorry about the inconveniences and any freak accidents.
