[IMPORTANT] About account safety and account sharing

There has been at least one incident so far which involved account sharing on purpose with another person. Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, share your account with anyone else. Ever. We WILL ban such accounts. We also reserve the right to ban any accounts which show a sudden unexplained change in behavior (e.g., posting style, etc.) AND change in IP addresses. Though, we will try to confirm your legitimacy before the ban (such as PMing you).

In regards to the above, keep your accounts safe, guys. Have a good password, don't give it out to anyone. Check your computers for viruses or keyloggers regularly. Neo Ark Cradle should be a safe place and should contain no suspicious links or viruses.

Lol nah, that's not what I meant.

Also, I admit I was a bit irked when I made the post, so apologies for the tone.

Basically I more meant a blatant change in posting style. For example, if I suddenly started making posts written in chatspeak and a lazy style, as well as sloppy grammar, that would be radically different from my regular posting style, thus my account would fall under suspicion. That's what I meant. I could be a total jerk or the nicest person ever, but if the posting style is consistent, I'd assume it's the same person.

Of course, there's no 100% way to prove if someone's sharing an account or got their account hijacked, I'm just saying that such changes may help us hunt down such possible cases. We'll try not to act rashly in any case and investigate any case we may find suspicious. Though, I'd hope such cases won't occur frequently and that people are sane enough not to share their own accounts with anyone.

It's a joke about the whole "change in behavior" thing.

I have a question about the IP thing though.
I remember you guys saying that since Alper was using proxies (I think, I don't get those things..) to access the forums, some ranges of IPs were banned. Could that possibly affect existing users? For example, if he somehow ends up using brazilian IPs, could it be that I would be unable to access NAC because of my IPs being included in the mix?

The main IPs NAC's staff bans, for transparancey's sake, are confirmed network-sharing device and Proxy Server IPs.

Also most of the staff is actually rather un-serious and laid back.

As Ark said, the staff is rather laid back, although this isn't the best thread to make jokes in, Kiryu. ^^; Otherwise you don't have to worry, we don't bite... much.

And yeah, we only ban network sharing devices and proxies, regardless of the country they originate from.
