Incorrect, the media companies pressured and complained to the Feds to take it down because they were losing revenue and Megaupload was making large sums of money off of hosting those files.
And Pirate Bay isn't going down. It's untouchable because its hosted in a country that doesn't give a damn about piracy or copyright infringement and torrents are different then direct downloads.
I recommend using Nyaa and Mediafire (although MF might be targeted next) from now on. And possibly invest in some external hard drives.
Even so, this is just the beginning. Don't think it will stop with just this.
